Can also be made with a couple of pop cans, cut in half and joined together, with a few holes put in round the rim and a hole in the centre to pour the meths in....... go on you tube.....'penny stove' made them in the past in my youth when I was in the cadets

Last time I used meths in a stove it was in my old man's primus stove. Used meths to warm it up then pumped up the paraffin pressure then away you go. Happy days . . . although it only worked at zero or inferno setting, so great for making a brew but try cooking anything on it and it would be black on the outside and raw inside!!!!

I came across these whist with the Cadets, as said good bits of kit. The kid as used them on DofE exps.
